FRESHNESS

Ello,

So, TBK2 is out now, FreeG is out now, the new User Area is up and alive!! :D

Intelmac binaries are in beta, so they'll be around next week!

And we have a few more tricks up our sleeves...

Anyway, that's the work stuff.
The actual real life meaning of all this is that we've been locked in an appartment in Montmartre working our ASSES off for the last three days solid. I haven't even made it to the Louvre yet... which is my plan! With luck, I'll get there this avo. It doesn't feel like a monday. Weird.

Amazingly, we've already sold a plugin without having even told anyone that the site had been updated... which means that people are ACTIVELY checking the site for changes! That's exciting :)

I need a cup of tea. And some lunch.

Crepes are the best thing in the world ever. I could eat nothing but crepe until I die, and die happy. It is true.

Can't wait to download the free-g.

Btw, is this plug 64 bits as well ?

Dave Sonalksis said...

of course :) TBK, TBK2, FreeG and the next release of the essentials are ALL 64bit :D
719 will be 64bit too :)

[if you mean 64bit processing...]
[Win64 isn't somewhere we've gone yet... has anyone else?]

Does that mean that the 719 is almost here ? ;) Gonna check out free g now :-D . Top Job!

Yes, 719 is nearly here... I need to tidy up a few things, and incorporate the latest graphics (which are looking FLY!)... maybe we can put up a teaser screenshot soon...? Felix? :D

I have to make sure the UB release goes well, so 719 is 2nd-from-top priority... ;)

Hmm.. probably not totally impossible... as soon as release date is set, then, voilĂ ..

Gosh that was a quick response, working late I see . Good to hear that gate is almost among us . Ah the joys of last minute clean up and checks .

Nice one on the G-free . Ignore the nay-sayers . For something so simple I can see myself using it alot . I'm sure I'll get more resolution from it then faders in logic , top stuff .

My only niggle is that I can see myself using 2 on each channel , top and bottom , so it'd be nice to have a mini version , no fader and big meters for the top to see a proper gain structure then as is for the last in the chain . But how much can you ask from a freebie .

About to fire up our freebie , orca , for some TBK2 experimenting . Should be fun!

Is it true we can get more resolution from the FreeG then from DAW faders ? (especially daws in 32 bit float ?)

I absolutely LOVE the user area and all the work you guys are doing. Dave, you're a legend. As mentioned by johnny, ignore the nay sayers, there will always be people who complain about stuff, FreeG is fantastic, darn Cubase SL3 doesn't have an invert switch on channels so this is damn useful.

Cheers
Fots

Yes and no.
Technically, a DAW fader "should" offer the same accuracy... but I'm used to seeing my daw adjust in "big" steps - 0.1dB at best, 5db in other parts of the range.
That annoys me... especially when i'm trying to bed pads and such...

FreeG in a very real, practical sense, allows you to make much finer adjustments.

any plan update SV-XXX UI design ?

Thanks for clarifying dave hehe . I hate when clients see the steping in logic and proceed to say ' Umm . . . just bring the vocals a notch ' hehe . Awesome stuff .

PS . How does it feel to be the new spokes person for Sonalksis ? Great to have this kinda dev interaction !
